About Terra Kulture
Terra Kulture Arts and Studios Limited, formerly known as Terra Kulture Limited – The Nigerian Cultural Centre, was founded in 2003 by Mrs. Bolanle Austen-Peters. Driven by her deep passion for Nigerian culture, Bolanle observed that few institutions in Nigeria adequately promoted and celebrated the country’s diverse artistic and linguistic heritage.
Terra Kulture was established to fill that gap. It provides a space for both Nigerians and international visitors to learn, experience, and celebrate Nigeria’s languages, arts, and culture in an immersive environment.
Over the years, Terra Kulture has grown into a nationally recognized institution, hosting:
- Over 200 art exhibitions
- 135 stage plays
- 65 book readings
- Language classes attended by more than 10,000 adults and children
In 2009, Terra Kulture also launched Terra Kulture Auction House, becoming one of only two art auction houses in Nigeria. The auction house has since held numerous auctions in Lagos and Abuja, showcasing some of Nigeria’s finest artworks.
